Quest’immagine tra il baby gorilla e i suoi soccorritori che lo hanno salvato dall’essere sbranato ha vinto il primo premio dell’edizione annuale del “Wildlife Photographer of the Year” il premio di fotografia naturalistica più porestigioso al mondo.
Scelta tra quasi 50.000 immagini, come d’abitudine è stata la giuria “popolare” del web a scegliere lo scatto vincitore, fatto da Jo-Anne McArthur, una fotografa canadese che ha intitolato l’opera “Pikin e Apollinaire.”
Apollinaire, he lavora per un’associazione che si occupa del salvataggio dei gorilla, in quel momento stava portando Pikin in un centro sicuro insieme ad altri suoi simili, e il piccolo è rimasto calmo per tutto il tragitto.
