(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, 02 GEN - L'Fbi ha sventato un attacco "in stile Isis" in un supermercato in North Carolina la notte di Capodanno. Lo riporta Fox news. Il diciottenne Christian Sturdivant è stato arrestato e incriminato per "aver tentato di fornire supporto materiale a un'organizzazione terroristica straniera", ha dichiarato il procuratore distrettuale Russ Ferguson.

"Il caso di un attentato sventato a Charlotte è l'ultimo esempio dello straordinario lavoro dell'Fbi", ha dichiarato il direttore dell'agenzia Kash Patel. "I nostri team hanno identificato rapidamente la minaccia e hanno agito con decisione, salvando vite americane", ha aggiunto. La procura ha spiegato che l'attentato è stato sventato grazie ad un agente sotto copertura che ha finto di essere un membro dell'Isis e si è messo in contatto con Sturdivant.
