Eccole le nominations per la 78° edizione degli Emmy, i più ambiti premi della televisione americana che saranno consegnati il 14 settembre, subito dopo la Mostra del Cinema di Venezia. Stravincono, come numero di nominations, “The Pitt” della HBO Max come drama con 25 nominations e “Hacks” della HBO Max come comedy con 24.
Benissimo la new entry horror “Widow’s Bay”, targata Apple Tv+, con 19 nominations, seguita, al quarto posto dalla fantascientifica “Pluribus”, sempre Apple Tv+, con 18. Come numero di premi è in testa HBO Max con 128 nominations, seguita da Netflix con 111 e da Apple Tv+ con 87, mai stata così in luce. Snobbati campioni delle serie come “Dutton Ranch” di Taylor Hackford o “Half-Man” di Richard Gadd.
In gran luce, come gli anni passati, “Slow Horses” e il suo protagonista, Gary Oldman, “The Bear”, “Euphoria” con Zendaya, che ha già vinto due Emmy e potrebbe vincerne un terzo. Tra le novità sono lanciatissime “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”, considerata drama, “Margo’s Got Money Troubles”, considerata comedy, con tutte le sue star, Elle Fanning, Nick Offerman e Michelle Pfeiffer, “Widow’s Bay” con Matthew Rhys protagonista, Dale Dickey, Kate O’Flynn e Stephen Root.
Dopo dieci anni entra in gara anche “Dancing with the Stars”, cioè il Ballando sotto le stelle americano. Andrebbero ripristinati anche in Italia i premi per i migliori show e programmi tv. Ancora ricordo quando si andava a Milazzo con Daniele Piombi. O il mitico Telegatto, che non abbiamo mai vinto…
